Greetings from Asian Pacific Ministries!

We are at the crossroads of 2023 and 2024, a year passing by and another one coming in. I want to thank you for your time, effort, hard work, and leadership in your respective churches. Thank you for being part of a very important mission the Asian-Pacific Ministries is called for.

I also would like to thank you for attending this year’s workers’ meeting. It was a joy seeing all of you. We look forward to having more of this kind of meeting so we could learn and fellowship with one another.

This holiday season, I wish you and your family, a peaceful and blessed celebrations. May Jesus be the center of the season. I pray that 2024 will bring you and your family bountiful blessings, good health, pure joy, courage, and strength, and that your ministries continue to grow. Let us continue to give love, show kindness, and bring hope to people we meet daily. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Greetings from the Asian-Pacific Ministries, Welcome to the family!

As of 2020, there are 118,240 Asian-Pacific members among the 922 Asian-Pacific churches in the entire NAD. The Asian-Pacific Ministries is catering to at least 33 language groups, 17 of which are large ethnic groups with their own ministries.

There are 50 States in North America with Adventist Asian-Pacific Presence:

According to the 2020 Census, there are 20.6 million people who identify as Asian, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander alone (not in combination with another race), making up 6.2% of the nation’s population. 

The Asian diaspora is extremely diverse. Using data from the 2016-2020 5-year American Community Survey, the Census Bureau published data for 21 different detailed groups in the United States under the umbrella of Asian alone.

Asian Americans are projected to become the nations’ largest immigrant group in the country, surpassing Hispanics in 2055. By then, Asians are expected to make up 36% of all U.S. immigrants, while Hispanics will make up 34%, according to population projections from the Pew Research Center.

Nearly half of U.S. Asians (45%) live in the West, with nearly a third (30%) in California alone. California had an Asian population of roughly 6.7 million in 2019, by far the nation’s largest. It was followed by New York (1.9 million), Texas (1.6 million), New Jersey (958,000) and Washington (852,000). A majority of U.S. Asians (55%) lived in these five states.

Aside from Hawaii, where U.S. Asians accounted for 57% of the population in 2019, Asians made up the largest share of the overall population in California (17%), Washington (11%), New Jersey (11%) and Nevada (11%). While a plurality of Asian Americans lived in the West in 2019, some 24% lived in the South, 19% in the Northeast and 12% in the Midwest.

There is a great work that needs to be done and a huge potential for growth in the Asian-Pacific Ministries. There are many to be reached out. Asian-Pacific Ministries hopes to achieve this with the help of our pastors and leaders.

Time is rapidly passing, and there is much to be done. Every agency must be set in operation, that present opportunities may be wisely improved.”
