Event Info
Join us this spring for a weekend of spiritual nourishment and relaxation. You and your spouse, and your children under supervision are invited to a weekend getaway in San Diego on May 17-19, 2024. We will be exploring the theme, “On Mission.” You will have a chance to meet and mingle with the families of our Asian-Pacific coordinators and language representatives. The multilingual ministries coordinator in PUC, Leon Brown, will also grace us with his presence on Friday night. See you soon!
Lodging
Our retreat will be at Homewood Suites San Diego Hotel Circle SeaWorld Area. We have reserve one-bedroom suite for you and your spouse, and your children under supervision that are coming with you, paid for by the Asian-Pacific Ministries. We already submitted your names at the hotel, contact me for verification, or download the Retreat Program (top of page) to check your names. Upon check-in, you will be required to present a major credit card for hotel deposit and incidental charges (such as parking, gift shop charges and in-room entertainment fees). Hotel parking is currently priced at $25.00 per vehicle and is not covered by APM, you will have to pay for the parking. APM will be charged for the first night of no-shows, so please be there and let us know ahead of time if you cannot make it, so we can cancel your room 72 hours before the event.
Please note that there will be a $50.00 + taxes charges to any early arrivals and late checkout are subject to a $75.00 + taxes. Any checkout after 2:00 PM will be a 1-night room and tax charge, so please be mindful of the check-in and checkout times.

Food
Dinner on Friday is not provided, but breakfasts in the hotel lodge are included with the room. Breakfasts should be available by 7 or 8 AM unless indicated otherwise. Lunch on Saturday will be provided by APM at the Lodge where breakfast is usually served. Dinner on Saturday night will be at P.F. Chang’s; the group meal is pre-ordered, if you have other menu preferences apart from the food choice we selected, it will be at your own cost.
Activities
Please refer to the Retreat Program (top of page) for breakdown of events and activities. We have assigned couples/families to lead out in song service and prayer, you may reach out to me if you have questions.
On Saturday night, your spouses and children can swim in the outdoor heated pool and whirlpool spa (which is open from 7 AM – 10 PM), play games, and make s’mores at the Garden Courtyard or utilize the fitness center. BarBQ area is at the poolside. See Front Desk to borrow BBQ tools. Two BarBQs available on a first come first serve basis. APM has prepared s’mores kit, please see Mirriam.
On Sunday morning at 8 AM, we will have an outdoor prayer and reflection at the Garden Courtyard after breakfast. Please be on time, so you and your family can bond and have fun at the beach, parks, zoo, and nearby attractions starting at 9 AM until checkout at 11 AM.
